What the bulk barcode generator does
Give it a list of numbers or codes and it draws a barcode for each one. Paste values one per line, or drop a CSV, TXT or TSV file with up to 1,000 rows. A header row is skipped automatically, and anything after a comma or tab becomes that row's caption.
Choose from Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A, EAN-8, UPC-E, Code 39, ITF, Data Matrix, PDF417 and Aztec. You see a preview of the first 12, then download a single ZIP. The whole batch is made in your browser, so the list stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
How to generate barcodes from Excel or Google Sheets
- Put the barcode values in the first column. If you want captions, such as product names, put them in the second column.
- Save the sheet as CSV. In Excel use File, Save As, CSV. In Google Sheets use File, Download, Comma-separated values.
- Drop the CSV into the tool, or choose it with the file button. The header row is skipped for you.
- Pick the barcode format and check the list of invalid rows, if there is one. Fix those in your sheet or leave them out.
- Choose PNG at 600, 1200 or 2400 px wide, or SVG, and whether files are named by value or by caption.
- Download the ZIP and unzip it. Each barcode is its own file, ready to drop into a document, a product listing or your design software.
A batch barcode generator that checks every row
Each row is validated for the format you chose. If a row has the wrong number of digits or a wrong check digit, it is listed with the reason and the rest of the batch carries on. For EAN and UPC you can leave the check digit off and it is added for you.
Need numbers to test a till, a scanner or a spreadsheet? "Fill with random test numbers" creates valid numbers in the GS1 in-store range starting with 2. They are for testing only. Products sold through retailers or marketplaces need numbers licensed from GS1, or whatever your marketplace requires. This tool draws barcodes for numbers you already have; it does not issue them.
PNG or SVG: choosing the right files
- PNG 600 px wide: small files for spreadsheets, web pages and internal documents.
- PNG 1200 or 2400 px wide: for print, product packaging proofs and label printer software.
- SVG: vector files that stay sharp at any size, best for Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity or Word.
- Name by value to match files back to your list, or by caption for human-readable names like product names or SKUs.
