Why download a QR code as SVG
An SVG file describes shapes rather than pixels, so a QR code in SVG stays crisp at any size, from a business card to a banner. Nothing blurs and no dots smear together when a printer scales it up.

SVG QR code generator formats: which to use

Transparent QR codes on your artwork
A transparent background lets the code sit directly on a poster, label or packaging design without a white box around it. The artwork behind it still has to act as the background, though, so keep it light and plain where the code sits. A busy photo or a dark colour behind a dark code will stop it scanning.
The designer checks the code as you build it. Once you have placed it on your artwork, export a proof and scan that too.
Size and resolution for print
Print a code at least 2 × 2 cm for close-up scanning, and roughly a tenth of the scanning distance for posters and signs. Leave a clear margin around it. If your printer will not take a vector, choose the largest PNG size for an HD image that holds up on paper.
