How to edit a screenshot online
Undo and redo cover every change while you work. Download before you press New image: it starts over without saving, and there is no copy kept anywhere to go back to.
- Paste your screenshot with Ctrl + V (Cmd + V on a Mac), drop it onto the editor, or choose a file.
- Crop to the part you need.
- Add arrows, rectangles, highlights, text or emoji, and pick a colour for each.
- Blur emails, names, card numbers and anything else private.
- Save as PNG, JPG or PDF, or copy the result to paste into a chat, email or ticket.

- Rectangle: frame a section, a field or an error message.
- Highlighter: highlight a line of text or a row in a table without hiding it.
- Text: add labels, numbered steps or a short note.

How to blur or redact a screenshot properly
Redacting only works if the pixels underneath are really replaced. The blur tool here is a strong pixel blur that is baked into the exported image, so it cannot be undone or sharpened back by whoever receives it. Use it to blur part of an image such as an email address, a customer name or a card number.
The highlighter is for drawing attention, not hiding. It is see-through by design, so never use it to cover something private. A filled rectangle or the blur tool is the right choice.
Cropping is the most thorough fix of all. When you save, the editor draws a brand new image from what is left, so anything you cropped away is not in the file. Some older apps once left cropped areas recoverable from the saved file; that cannot happen here. Save as PNG, JPG or PDF at full resolution
Exports keep the original resolution of your image. PNG keeps text sharp, JPG gives smaller files with a quality setting you control, and PDF suits records and receipts. A long screenshot can be split across several PDF pages. You can also add a small file name and date stamp to the export.
