How to convert a screenshot to PDF

Page sizes and tips for a clean screenshot PDF
If you are not sure, start with fit to image for sharing on screen, and switch to A4 or Letter when someone needs to print the file.
- Fit to image: each page takes the exact shape of its screenshot. Best for reading on screen and for tall captures.
- A4: the standard paper size in the UK, Europe and most of the world. Pick this if the PDF may be printed.
- US Letter: the standard in the US and Canada.
- Landscape suits wide screenshots such as dashboards and spreadsheets. Portrait suits phone screenshots and documents.
- Crop screenshots before you add them, so menus and toolbars do not end up on every page.
- Keep phone screenshots in portrait and wide desktop captures in landscape, or use fit to image so each page matches its screenshot.
- Name the downloaded file clearly, such as the date and what it shows, so it is easy to find later.
- For a very long web page, a full page capture saved as PDF gives better page breaks than one tall image squeezed onto A4.
