Record your screen in two clicks
Click the NeoReader Screen Recorder button, choose This tab or Window or screen, and press Start recording. A short countdown gives you time to get ready, and a timer in the toolbar shows how long you have been recording. Pause whenever you need to, and press Stop to open the preview.
Recording this tab needs no picker at all and includes the tab's sound, which you keep hearing while you record. Window or screen uses your browser's own picker so you choose exactly what is shared.

How to screen record on Chrome with audio
- Add NeoReader Screen Recorder to Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- Open the tab you want to record and click the extension button.
- Choose This tab, switch on Tab audio, and add Microphone if you want to narrate.
- Press Start recording, or Alt + Shift + E. Pause and resume from the button or Alt + Shift + U.
- Press Stop, trim the clip if you like, and download it as MP4, WebM or GIF.
Screen recording without an extension
Computers have basic recorders built in. They work well for quick captures, with fewer options.
- Windows 11: open the Snipping Tool and switch to Record (Windows + Shift + R on recent versions), or use the Xbox Game Bar with Windows + G for apps and games.
- Mac: press Command + Shift + 5 and choose Record Entire Screen or Record Selected Portion. Use Options to add a microphone.
- Chromebook: press Ctrl + Shift + Show windows and switch to Screen record.
- None of them record a single browser tab with its sound, trim the result, or save a GIF in the same step.
