What can you put in a QR code?

Links are the most common, but a QR code can hold much more. NeoReader builds the right format for each so phones know what to do when they scan it:

Designing a QR code that still scans

Colour, logos and rounded dots all make a code harder to read if you push them too far. That's why the designer test-scans your code every time you change it and tells you when something is risky:

• Keep the code dark on a light background. Light-on-dark codes fail on many phones.
• A logo covers part of the code. We automatically raise the error correction so the code survives it; keep logos under about 30% of the width.
• Leave a margin around the code when you print it.
• For print, download SVG or PDF: they stay sharp at any size.

Static codes that never expire
